You can go out for gourmet dining but nothing is more satisfying than a creamy, cheesy bowl of Macaroni and Cheese.  Then, add Louisiana crawfish to the macaroni and cheese and you have an unbeatable combination.  I created this Mac and Cheese recipe because my kids actually preferred the Kraft Dinner Mac and Cheese from the box. I would always tell them I will make it from scratch and it is so much better.  So, I knew what I needed to do.  I came up with a recipe that was creamy like the one they remembered but simple to make and healthier for you. How many restaurants serve lobster mac and cheese? Louisiana crawfish has that delicate flavor of lobster but packed with more taste, especially if you have leftovers from a crawfish boil. So, why not add crawfish to mac and cheese?  That's exactly what I did!  Best of all, this Crawfish Mac and Cheese recipe works great with frozen crawfish tails.  You want to defrost the tails and always rinse and drain.  Stir into the hot macaroni and cheese and you have a family recipe everyone will be grabbing to eat! Whether it is crawfish season or not, you can enjoy my special Crawfish Macaroni and Cheese recipe year round.  I also kept it trim and terrific!
